Welcome to Rebuilding Together-St. Louis’ (“RTSTL”) Internet web site (“Site”) located at the URL:www.rebuildingtogether-stl.org. This Privacy Policy states certain policies implemented throughout RTSTL governing its use of personally identifiable information about users of the Site and users of the services on this Site.

Privacy Policy Updates

Because of the Internet’s rapidly evolving nature or other factors, RTSTL may need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Information Collection

You can generally visit the Site without revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, in certain sections of this Site, RTSTL may invite you to contact it with questions or comments, to complete surveys or questionnaires, complete a volunteer profile or to subscribe to our RTSTL e-mail updates. Because the nature of some of these activities, RTSTL may collect personally identifiable information such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, homeowner financial information, homeownership information, home repairs needed, skills, and other information that you voluntarily transmit with your communications to us by any one or more of e-mail, telephone, online, or in person. RTSTL also may collect information about you and your use of either the Site or RTSTL’s services, or both, through your use of either the Site or RTSTL’s services, or both. Credit card and account information in connection with online donations are handled by Network For Good through their secure servers. The site may make use of cookies, small text files stored in a special location on your computer, to provide additional utility to the site (for example, to remember if you have logged into an area which requires a login). You may choose to disable cookies, but be aware that this may limit your ability to use certain features of the Site.

Information Use

RTSTL may use your personally identifiable information for purposes of any one or more of contacting you to deliver certain services or information that you request, responding to your inquiries, sending newsletters, notifications or publications that you request, fulfilling your orders, processing your donations, improving the content and general administration of either the Site or our services, or both, or directing donation solicitation mailings.

Children’s Privacy

RTSTL recognizes the privacy interests of children. It encourages parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. RTSTL does not offer its services or this Site to children under 13. RTSTL does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

Aggregate Information

The Site may track information such as (but not specifically limited to) the total number of visitors to the Site, the number of visitors to each page of the Site, browser type, operating system, connection speed, IP addresses, and External Web Sites (defined below) linked to the Site. RTSTL may analyze this data for trends and statistics in the aggregate. It, however, will maintain, use, and disclose such information in aggregate form only, which omits any personally identifiable information. RTSTL may use such aggregate information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track users’ navigation through the Site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

The Site makes use of Google Analytics for the purpose of performing aggregate analysis of site traffic to improve the usefulness and effectiveness of the Site. Google Analytics makes use of cookies to understand how users navigate through and use the Site. As noted previously, you may choose to disable cookies. Disclosure

RTSTL may provide your personally identifiable information and aggregate information to the vendors and service agencies that it uses to help us to provide its services. RTSTL will also disclose your personally identifiable information only if (a) any one or more of laws, regulations, or governmental authorities require RTSTL to do so, or (b) RTSTL believes that it must to protect the safety of the Site’s users or RTSTL’s services. RTSTL will not sell your personally identifiable information to any company or organization except that it may transfer your personally identifiable information to a successor entity upon a merger, consolidation, or other corporate reorganization in which RTSTL participates or to a purchaser that acquires all or substantially all of RTSTL’s assets to which this Site relates.
