Rebuilding Together - St. Louis has the following two positions open for Rebuilding Together CapacityCorp, which is currently seeking 44 individuals in 16 states to serve across the nation as full-time direct service AmeriCorps members. AmeriCorps is a national service program in which dedicated individuals do eleven months of community work in low-income communities – essentially a domestic “Peace Corps” in exchange for excellent experience in a nonprofit and help paying off student loans. 

Home Repairman/Work Evaluator duties include:

  • Make direct repairs to client’s homes
  • Serve as supply coordinator
  • Solicit in-kind materials for home repairs
  • Coordinate distribution of donations
  • Assist with preparing work evaluations
  • Prepare work scopes
  • Recruit handymen and women to sustain direct repairs to client’s homes
  • Train and manage volunteer recruits

Partnership Coordinator duties include:

  • Manage all community projects on Rebuilding Day and through-out the year
  • Manage office volunteers
  • Manage volunteer recognition program
  • Develop and manage speaker’s bureau
  • Develop partnerships with community organizations and agencies
  • Develop and coordinate special events
  • Develop a young friend’s program
