I am involved with Rebuilding Together because we directly help people who just need a little boost. It is so rewarding to see the joy on homeowner's faces when Rebuilding Together has transformed their home in one day.

I am involved with Rebuilding Together because I truly enjoy helping (or trying to help) other people, especially those in need.

I feel very strongly that we should strive to help those who cannot help themselves. I have chosen Rebuilding Together as one of the focus areas for my personal contribution to our community because we see, first hand, how our work improves the lives of the homeowners. Their gratitude for our work is truly overwhelming.

I am proud to be part of this secular organization that brings together many volunteers from diverse backgrounds to help an equally diverse group of elderly and disabled homeowners.

I love meeting new people and I know from my own past eight years of experience, that "one person can make a difference."  It's my family's motto "the more you give, the more you get in return".

After my initial introduction to Rebuilding Together, I was sure that this organization and its mission would be one Emerson would be proud to support.

Rebuilding Together has given me the personal satisfaction of joining neighbors helping neighbors to revitalize the homes and lives of the homeowners that it serves and to improve our community.

I wanted to get involved with an organization that has a direct impact on local people in need. Rebuilding Together-St. Louis has helped countless area residents remain safely in their homes.

If you've ever had a leaking roof, broken plumbing or any other problem with your home, knowing that the people helped by Rebuilding Together have no practical means to accomplish the repairs necessary to make their homes safe and livable again, you can understand the importance of Rebuilding Together's work. Rebuilding Together's volunteers, supporters and staff really make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people they help.

The foundation of every family is the home. Without a warm, safe, and sound place to live, grow and love, prospering as a family is just much more difficult. I love what we do at Rebuilding Together – St. Louis because, while our efforts on build days go a long way to improving physical structures, those benefits are secondary to the renewed sense of security and dignity our homeowners feel in their “new” homes after we have left.

This organization gives me the opportunity to be involved and actually meet the recipients of the organizations' efforts. The homeowners are so grateful and it is fulfilling to know that we are helping people.

Organized labor and Rebuilding Together have common goals - to improve the lives of the homeowners we serve. That's why I'm a board member of Rebuilding Together-St. Louis

I choose to be a volunteer and board member because it allows me the opportunity to make a noticeable difference in the lives of others. Housing is a basic staple of living and by volunteering, it allows me to make sure that someone is able to remain independent and safe in their own homes.

It’s the homeowners smile at the end of Rebuilding Day that keeps you coming back from year to year! They are so proud of their home improvements and appreciative to the volunteers that came out to help them! As you are pulling away from the curb, the homeowner cannot hug you enough to say thanks and even though you are totally exhausted from the days work there is a rush of emotion that says “I did good today!”

I'm a member of the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together-St. Louis because I want to give back to the community. Helping those in need gives me great personal satisfaction.

I am involved with Rebuilding Together to improve the connect the St Louis city and region - both the homes and the people.

I enjoy working with a great Board of Directors and volunteers. We all join together, roll up our sleeves, and work to help others live comfortably in their homes. I think we create hope as well as improve homes.
