Rebuilding Together Celebrates its 100,000 House

The campaign highlights house rehabilitation efforts in communities across the nation

June 15, 2007

Rebuilding Together (RT), the nation’s largest volunteer-based provider of home-repair services, is marking the rehabilitation of RT’s 100,000th house.  The Rebuilding Together – St. Louis event is part of a celebration launched by Rebuilding Together National and its affiliates across the United States; the goal of the celebration is to focus attention on the work done by more than 3 million volunteers and the delivery of more than $1 billion in home rehabilitation services since RT’s inception 18 years ago.

“Rebuilding Together is proud to be marking this major milestone in the organization’s history,” said Rebuilding Together – St. Louis President, Bob Staed. “And the 100,000th House Celebration is our way of thanking the thousands of supporters and volunteers – ranging from individuals to corporate, association, faith-based, labor, civic and foundation-based organizations – who have come together to deliver warmth, safety and independence to persons in need in communities and neighborhoods across the United States.”

On Friday, June 15, volunteers from the Board of Directors, staff and others will come together to repair the home of a Maplewood resident.  For details contact Lynne Rajani at information@rebuildingtogether-stl.org.
